Submandibular Gland - Neoplasia or tumor is an abnormal formation of new tissue and can not be controlled by the body. There are two types of neoplasia, ie benign neoplasia (benign) and malignant neoplasia (malignant). Many factors could cause the tumor stimulating. This factor is classified into two categories: internal factors and external factors.
Tumors
can affect all organs of the body including the salivary gland tumors.
In the salivary gland tumors can be benign and malignant tumors. Most
salivary gland tumors are benign. It is not surprising that most of the
tumors that occur in the parotid are benign. The benign tumors are often
found among other pleomorphic adenoma is a tumor of the salivary glands
are the most common. In addition, other benign tumors that may occur
are: papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum or also known as Warthin tumors
that often occur in the elderly.
As for the malignant carcinoma that may arise in the major salivary glands, the parotid gland is the most common carcinoma mukoepidermoid, while submandibular gland is adenoid cystic carcinoma. Carcinoma that may be contained in the major salivary glands are acinar cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant mixed tumor, although some carcinomas from other networks may arise in the major salivary glands.
Tumor Definition
Neoplasm or neoplasia is an abnormal formation of new tissue and can not be controlled by the body. The oncologist still often use the term to indicate a tumor or neoplasm neoplasia.
There are two types of neoplasia, namely benign neoplasia (benign neoplasm) and malignant neoplasia (malignant neoplasm). Benign neoplasia is the slow growth of new tissue, expansive, localized, capsulated, and did not metastasize (spread child). Malignant neoplasia is a fast-growing tumor, infiltration into surrounding tissues, and may spread to other organs (metastasize). Malignant neoplasia often called cancer.
Many factors could cause or supporting stimulate the neoplasm. These factors are classified into two categories, namely: (1) internal factors, ie factors related to hereditary and growth factors, and (2) external factors such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, chemicals, drugs, radiation , trauma, heat, cold, tob**co, or al**hol.
